Mileridge Limited to Support EUROCONTROL's CHAIN Activity

Improving the Integrity of Aeronautical Information

Mileridge has been awarded a contract by EUROCONTROL to support the development of new and revised guidance material for the origination, processing, transmission and publication of aeronautical information.

The contract has been let as part of the Controlled and Harmonised Aeronautical Information Network (CHAIN) activity which is aiming to bring about a major change in the integrity of information published, bringing it into line with the rigorous requirements for both accuracy and integrity that will be needed for future air navigation.

The tasks for which Mileridge will be responsible include a full review of the existing standards, an analysis of where existing material is insufficient, preparation of new guidance material and finally the development of assessment criteria and methodologies. The latter task will enable State regulators to assess the compliance of their  national Service Providers against the requirements of organisations such as ICAO and the European Commission.
